Renewable Energy for the Developing World – Hands-On • April, 2016 • Rancho Mastatal, Costa Rica

EXPAND

Many of our workshop participants report that the program and experience in Mastatal has opened their minds and hearts to new possibilities—new ways to live, work, and contribute.

Experience:
• A permaculture farm experience where food is grown, “waste” is reused, and delicious organic meals delight us three times a day.
• A slower pace of life, with time to enjoy a tropical sunrise or sunset, visits with locals, and different ways of living.
• The extensive library at Rancho Mastatal, and the experiences of staff and interns there to gain more knowledge and perspective on sustainability topics.
• Trying out your Spanish on patient, clear-speaking locals, or fellow learners in the group and at the ranch.
• Stretching your hands-on ability with new tools and projects, and your brain with new concepts and perspectives.

“One of the best classes I will ever take.
The ranch we stayed in was a dream come true—one I never knew I had.” —2015 participant

“Eco-tourism doesn’t get any more authentic.” —2015 workshop participant
